A catch-all mailbox receives messages sent to invalid email addresses under the exact same domain. For instance, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive emails from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at some point you may begin receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be received in a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all mailbox without any difficulty if you have a shared hosting account with our company. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel is full-featured, yet incredibly intuitive, and it will permit you to activate various features, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be displayed in alphabetical order in this section and to the right of each one you’ll find a mini "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will enable this option, clicking on it once more will deactivate it. As you can have only one such mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you already have a different one with this option activated or if you have enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The custom-built Hepsia Control Panel that comes with each and every semi-dedicated server plan that we’re offering will allow you to configure a catch-all mailbox with ease even in case you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you’ve created using your domain names in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one single mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you have already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you do not need this feature any longer, you can remove it by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
